Born into a conservative Midwestern family in Omaha, Nebraska on October 14, 1964 and as a free spirit I take full advantage of what life has put before me. Keeping with Christian my roots I have expanded my broadcast communications field that I was reared for since early on. Growing up in a radio family and attending my father’s alum Brown Institute in Minneapolis meant a job on the air was natural for me.
A background part as a nurse in the movie “Terms of Endearment” in the spring of 1983 while attending the University of Nebraska at Lincoln was inspiring. They filmed a large portion of the movie in the house my roommates and I lived in. This was my first real glimpse into the metaphysical because of one lady. Shirley MacLaine was one of the stars of this movie and had recently come out with her book "Out on a limb" and that fateful encounter with her set me on a new path realizing there was no such thing as coincidence. I couldn't get my hands on enough information about all these new things she opened up to me. I knew I had found something profound and life changing so I carried it with me through the years knowing I would find a larger place for it in my life.
A late night position at a radio station in western Nebraska would introduce me to my husband of 29 years. Mark Arnold had also graduated from Brown and was the morning man at that station. We now have three children with our first son Alex being born on 8-8-88. Alex was diagnosed with Autism early on in his life. With the needs of our children first on the list we decided that other than a few part time positions it was best I spend most of the time with the kids rather than working.
All those years raising kids had to happen as the ground work for what I do now in my life. I won’t tell you of a list of tragedies that happened in my life but rather the events that shaped me. The death of my only brother Scott to AIDS in 1994 as well as other friends and family members passing from various things led me to change my thoughts on what is really important to communicate in this life. Then at 36 I was pregnant and had cancer to deal with. I went through 7 surgeries over the next couple of years. This is when I would start talking of the dreams and visions I had after each surgery. I knew I had to ask why I was seeing certain things around people and before long it turned to where others were asking me what I can see in them.
In 2001 I like so many found myself frustrated with the direction my life was heading and on one particular evening I was in rare form because of changes at my current job. Scott had been to a psychic who told him of my great success at a "square medium" which I had always thought was a move to TV rather then radio. Then on my drive home I began a tirade of all things wrong in my life which was followed by a statement of "and so much for the great success at a square medium" and that's when I heard him. It was as if Scott was sitting next to me and I heard the words, "you're supposed to write a book dummy", and if you knew my brother that's just the way he would have told me that in life.
It wasn't long before I became an ordained minister with the Universal Life church. I thought I was getting around some technical things with the law to protect myself and what I do until I realized God needed me to be a true a complete minister in every way. This is only the start of my story because God has assured me the best is yet to come...
